I’m Ali, a licensed electrician based in Airport West. AZ Electrical is me and an apprentice — small on purpose, so the person who quotes your job is the person who turns up and does it.
Why I run it this way
I started as an electrician in 2016 and spent the first few years working for other people. What I kept seeing was the same thing from the customer’s side: hourly rates that made the final bill a guess, and jobs handed between whoever was free that day.
So when I started AZ Electrical in 2020, I set two rules. Every job gets a fixed price before it starts. And the person you speak to is the person who does the work. 6 years on, that is still how it runs, and it is the reason most of my work now comes from people who were referred by someone I have already done a job for.
The work itself covers the lot: EV chargers, switchboards, lighting and power, ceiling fans, CCTV and security, and split systems — where I hold the refrigerant licence as well as the electrical one, so the whole install is mine, not split across two trades.
